The blocks are determined IIHF World in 2014 on the basis of the ranking. Austria and Slovenia rose from divisions 1 of the main series. The World Championships will be judged by 16 referees and 16 assistant referees during the tournament.
Each squad for the 2015 Ice Hockey World Championships must include at least fifteen outfield players and two goalkeepers, or a maximum of twenty-two field players and three goalkeepers. All sixteen participating national teams will through their respective hockey federations presents their lineups before the World Cup the organization's first meeting.
There are 16 teams which will participate in the 2015 Ice Hockey World Championship. They are divided into two groups. Each group (Group A and Group B) consists of 8 teams. In group A Canada, Sweden, France, Germany, Austria and Host team Czech Republic will take part. Group B consists of Defending Champion Russia, Finland, USA, Slovakia, Denmark and Norway.
System extension in playoff of the 2015 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship: In the case of a balanced state, even after sixty minutes quarterfinals, semifinals and the match for the third place match would be extended by ten minutes, after a short three-minute break. In the match for the gold medal followed by a twenty-minute extension, which would take place before a fifteen-minute break to finish the ice surface. If, during extra time, none of the teams did not reach the goal, a series would get shootouts, which would determine the winner of the match.
